Tide Pool Project

The goal of the Tide Pool Project is to create an interactive tide pool exhibit that will bring the experience of exploring a tide pool in a fun and creative way to communities further removed from the sea. It is also our mission to educate the public about the delicate role our coastal waters play in the health and future of our planet.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Create a tide pool creature to inhabit our tide pool. Tide pools are diverse communities and are home to hundreds of animals and organisms.

Submissions may be no smaller than 2 inches and no larger than 6 inches in any direction.

Artists may work in any textile medium, and are encouraged to create 3 dimensional works OR 2 dimensional surfaces with raised embellishment and detailing. Recycled materials are encouraged.

All submissions received will be documented online with credit given to artists. Please include your name, city/state/provence and country where you reside.

There is no limit to the number of pieces that may be submitted. All submissions become the property of the Tide Pool Project and will be featured in an exhibit at the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge on Kodiak Island, Alaska in 2012.

Send all submissions to:

There currently is no deadline for this project. I am hoping that this will allow the project more freedom to expand and grow into something substantial that will inspire and educate people. I've been discovering that a project like this is going to take time and dedication to accomplish. For those of you who have submitted works, thank you for sharing my vision and supporting my efforts.
